and I know I am starting with a cold. I have a cupboard full of over the counter medication for colds and coughs, what do you lot think I should do/ They say Nothing works better than Anadin, so best i take Nothing then eh?

Dot - hot bath - olbas oil - gargle cider vinegar

get some soothers or lockets ,,, gargling water in your mouth sometimes help.... also beechams powders work for me id defo give them a try...

I would have a large tipple of what you fancy, get wrapped up in the duvet and sweat it out.

It's all good advice, I've got loads of medication except cider vinegar! can't drink as I have to fetch the youngest son from work about midnight, I've got a beechams hot lemon simmering anyway, they often work. !

caslass idea works but when the sweat gets uncomfortable don,t be tempted too uncover too cool down, you must sweat, sweat and sweat

The only draw back is you may smell in the morning

That's what showers are for. 5 minute shower then good as new.
