MM Links February 2010 [Week 3]
46 Answers
Welcome to the third week in the reign of “Prince Philip” (aka centrino), when I hope to repeat last week’s wealth of points for sharp predictions. The weather continues to prove more wintery than spring-like. The mind naturally dwells on sunny times and holidays. Like most people, my early memories of family holidays were spent at the UK seaside. Later in life, this was to change.
After starting work, horizons widen and workmates can gradually become close friends – so much so that shared holidays become the norm. I recall in the early days three of us going Youth Hostelling in the (very wet) Lake District. Searching for better weather, the following year we decided to visit Picardy in France. Rather pleased with what we found, we then sampled the magic of the French Riviera – however money was still tight at that time, so we slept under canvas!

As we became more affluent, we swapped the barge for the aeroplane and enjoyed real adventures flying off to the popular resorts of mainland Spain, Balearic Islands, Tunisia, Gran Canaria, Turkey and Greece. Each year, venturing further afield, nevertheless we all agreed that the times we enjoyed best were those spent in the UK!
There is no prize for guessing this week’s theme, but as far as my MM Links are concerned, I shall follow the rule on word length adopted by crofter. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will disclose my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My third set of four words to have their links predicted will appear below at 9.00am.
