The ONI has made some interesting changes to the list of items monitored to compile the RPI and the CPI.

Bars of soap and canned drinks have been dropped (are we really consuming less of those?).

Fishfingers are IN for the first time EVER (do we eat more fishfingers now than 20 years ago???)

Lip gloss is in, lipstick is out.

Hair straighteners are in, hairdryers are out.

What would YOU include in the list of "MUST BUY" items if you were compiling the RPI ?

Sorry.

The Office for National Statistics ... which compiles the ...

... Retail Price Index, and the ...

... Consumer Prices Index.
I haven't bought a bar of soap in years. Have been given them at Christmas, etc. when they have been put in drawers and donated to raffles. I don't ever buy canned drinks. There again I don't buy fish fingers either

Must buy items:

Moisturiser
Shower Gel
Dark Chocolate
Question Author
Soap for Christmas?

Was it soap on a rope?

Now there was a daft creation. Nobody ever used them ... presumably saving them for a "special occasion" ... like a REALLY important shower, LOL.

So ... they just got dusty, and gross, until they were replaced the following year ... by MORE soap on a rope.
Question Author
Mousey ... wine, beer and bacon are all in already, so you're okay !
vibrators
chocolate
vodka
Question Author
Curiously, Fluffy, vibrators haven't made it on to the list.

However, irrespective of the RPI, we have locally 3 of the best buzzy shops in the country ... Lust, Tickled, and Taboo.

Worth a browse, if you ever come this way (so to speak).
i wil certainly bear that in mind!
Question Author
All very "girl friendly" Fluffy ... especially Tickled.

Not full of pervy blokes, like the ones in London.

(except Harmony, in London ... it's nice there)
