Dont want the stress of follow up appointments
Thats all I can think of for now!
Question Author
its my son,he says its because there is a nerve or something attached to the tooth.
There are nerves attatched to every tooth, but I think he means a big facial nerve(Trigeminal??)that every dentist lives in peril of hitting, cos it can be pretty nasty.

I'm having a wisdom tooth out at my dental surgery later this month. it's a 15 minute appt. perhaps I'm just a simple case!
Mmmmm perhaps :-))
I had all mine, yep, all of 'em, taken out at hospital too. And to be honest I thought that was better.
No sitting there in a dentist chair bricking myself- you get knocked out cold, and when you wake up, no more pain...bliss!

Mind you, you do wake up looking a bit yellow and your face all bruised and battered looking. Mr boo told me not to look out the car window on the way home so people wouldn't accuse him of spousal battering!!
thank you, sweetheart ;o)
can I just add.. the top ones come out easier than the bottom ones as they have shorter roots. I'm having just one top one out.

I am still terrified!
I'd like to tell you to stop being a wuss and get over it sara, but I cant. I'm THE biggest wuss when it comes to dentists (the sadistic bu88ers that they are). Guess all you can do is put up with it till it's done. Good luck :-)
thank you. I know it's wrong but I really like my dentist, she's very funny!
Mines ok too i guess, as far as dentists go. She's wonderfully patient with me and doesnt crack up peeing herself laughing each time im nearly in tears. She even prescribed me valium for a simple filling to be done as I'm that much of a baby. I bet patients like me a a ruddy nightmare to her- heh!
Simple straightforward cases can be performed within the dental surgery setting. My daughter's dentist where she works does it.
Ahhh, salla's daughter, a sadisitic bu88er in the making ;-)
I had a crown done last year. my dentist said, "do you want silver or gold? don't have gold or you'll look like a gypsy!"
I told you I was simple :o/
