Hi,
Was just wondering if anyone had any tips for very quick weight loss. I have a wedding in a couple of weeks and I currently can't fit into the lovely dress I bought especially for it. I know that it is unhealthy to lose weight quickly and that I will probably put it back on, but I really want to lose as much weight as possible between now and then because I really want to look nice, especially as it will be the first time I will be seeing my ex boyfriend since we broke up. Any ideas at all would be much appreciated, however extreme, as if they work I am willing to try anything. Was also wondering if any of these fad diets are particularly effective, for example I've been reading about the 3 day diet which is based around cottage cheese? also any exercise tips would be great. Thanks Claire x

The following site give some good ideas, but emphasises these are health threatening and should only be used for a short time to achieve an objective like yours. They are not nice and are not pleasant, but will get weight off, but expect to put it back on again when you start eating!

Obviously quick weight loss is not a good thing but you realise that so it won`t be something long term. Several years ago I wanted to lose weight for someone`s wedding and I did the Atkins diet. It was rubbished at the time but now loads of people are copying it in various books. I cut out carbs and lost a few pounds in a week. I must admit it went back on twice as quick but for an emergency it did the trick
I did something similar not very long ago before a party. I googled how to lose 5lbs in 5 days or something like that and just followed what it said to eat and it worked! Other tips are to have a glass of water with half a lemon squeezed in it first thing in the morning, and if you can stand it a tablespoon of cider vinegar in water once a day. I found that to dilute it with sparkling mineral water somehow makes it more palatable. Plus the obvious exercise tips, park your car further away from the entrance to Tesco, walk up stairs and shake your head slowly from side to side when people offer you chocolates or alcohol.
If you eat nothing but eggs, you can eat an unlimited amount. They are a nutritionally dense food, so you shouldn't suffer to greatly with vitamin depletion. Take spirulina (available in H&B) as a supplement which will provide you with a vast array of vitamins and mineral, and will act as an appetite suppressant and cut out alcohol and caffeine. Expected minimum weightloss should be 1lb per day. Take psyllium husks to combat constipation.
NoMercy,

Silly question, but does how you cook the eggs matter - does scrambled with butter brak the rule, but boiled or poached doesn't?
Lenny Henry got rid of 20stone of fat over night.

Sorry couldn't resist
if i want to lose a couple of pounds for a event i go on a juicing and soup diet for a week or 2 before. breakfasts usually consists of fruit smoothies, lunch would be homemade soups and same for tea. snacks would be yoghurts and fruit. this does really work but of course if you lose weight quickly then you will put it back on quickly
Buy another dress that fits you better. You will feel more confident and relaxed, your skin will be good and you won't have wind and bad breath problems.
The only thing with eating too many eggs is that they can give you constipation which you obviously don't want if you're trying to lose weight!
