Would you consider displaying the avatar next to the question text (just as they are for all the replies) instead of mixed with it because, whilst it doesn't matter for most questions, it doesn't look right for others e.g. (a recent Q&P question chosen at random) http://www.theanswerb...s/Question886242.html looks messy when the different clues don't line up in the same way that they do when the question is being typed.

I clicked that link and it looked fine.
same here ummmm............question looks tidy.
Looks ok to me too.
It must be your browser bibble...........I'm on IE8 and it looks fine.

The question ought to be displayed as it was typed in, so that ALL the clue numbers in that question are adjacent to the left side of the question box and not have the first 3 moved to the left just to display a picture.

So that particular question should look like:

1. Farmer's friend (6)
2. At the bottom of a Cumbrian lake (6)
3. The ornamental temple (6)
4. Easy to spot (8)
5. Underneath a theatre balcony (8)

^^^ moved to the right (not left)
Sorry but I don't see the problem? It looks ok to me.
I see what you are getting at bibblebub, but they look fine to me.
Does it really matter ?
it looks fine, your browser must be dodgey.
sorry bibble when I view it all the questions are in a straight line just as in your post.
Same as Craft...
I see what bibble's saying, look at the OP - the word "typed" is under the avatar.

Are you seeing it displayed like this http://tinyurl.com/y278b8q ?

The first 4 are to the right of the avatar and the 5th is under the avatar, and so they aren't aligned as they are when they are typed in.
No, I'm not seeing them like that bibblebub. I'm using IE8 and they're showing fine.
No, I see five orderly lines. Perhaps your font size is larger than 'normal'.
No bibble they are all aligned correctly when I view the question...
You should have chosen another example as most people won't see the effect until the sixth line.
how everyone sees it going to depend on the view size settings for everyone looking at that question.

The point bibble is making is that longer questions wrap around the avatar image so the begining of each line is not lined up.

To show it with a longer question look at the one below and you can see the first few lines are not lined up with the ones under the picture.

I see what you mean now Chuck but still doesn't bother me.
