I agree with lucca and hau kola I have many black friends and they hate the term "Coloured". I also have many gay friends that hate the term "Queer".

I would say black too, don't usually say coloured,but everything is so PC now I don't know who I'm offending. I agree, queer is offensive I've always said gay if I've had to, I have quite a few gay friends but this hasn't been an issue with them as far as i know.

Well "Queer'' is generally an offensive word though I do have a group of close camp gay friends that love calling each other queer in public, maybe that's why it becomes confusing.

I'd say "black" (and gay seeing that the discussion has spread). White people are the coloured ones - just look at all our different shades.
