ouch!! just scalded my hand!!

just made myself a cup of packet soup with boiling water from the kettle, just coming back up the stairs with mug in hand, no lights on, misjudged the the top step, and went flying!!
ended up with soup up the landing wall and on the carpet and the remainder over my hand!!!

ive cleared the mess up and have been soaking my hand in the bathroom sink in cold water, oooh but it does sting!! ......

Ouch, sweetheart.......at least ten mins under a running cold water tap to prevent access scold marks.......put some germoline cream or similar on it to heal quicker......and then go and make yourself some more soup....this time with the light on when you're going up the stairs. xx

I have a rack of burn marks on my arm where (when) I use the oven and misjudge. We are always doing what you did looby, our living room is upstairs, we either slip or fall over the cat who is coming the other way, the stairs get a fine coating of coffee... have you got any afterburn stuff?

thing is i thought there was an extra step! lol and there wasnt! so my foot came slamming down and i went for a burton! ... tut .. what a waste of soup .....
