Taking tablets after a meal

I've noticed some tablets state that they should be taken 'ideally with a meal' what is the reason for this? The ones in question particularly are echinacea herbal ones.

Most tablets state that, I think it`s because they will digest better rather than taking them on an empty stomach

Finished Friday, not the result I wanted, I posted a question in Law yesterday about it, take a look and let me know what you think, ta
I think is because they can harm your tummy if taken on an empty on,maybe they are acidic in some way.Sorry Elvis68 maybe you know more about herbal than me(which I admit I don't know much!),but I am sure thats the reason for a lot of non herbal
