removal of ovaries
I am a 36 year old and I have been seeing gynacologist for 12 months, because i have suffered for around 4 years with sever PMT and Very painful periods.
The outcome is he suggests I have my ovaries taken away as I'm ok! when they medically switched them off.
I would love to hear your opinions and experiences.I feel if im having my ovaries away then i may as well have a hystorectomy!!
I am concerned that this produces the hormone needed to maintain a sex drive! What if I go off sex?!
Pleas tell me your experiences and thoughts oon what to do thanx in advance

Found this book on a Google search about ovary removal... It could be of some help to you.

Having said that, if you do eventually have to have your ovaries removed, menopause symptoms will be instant. Depending on your health record, you would probably be offered the choice of HRT to counteract the effects of the loss of Oestrogen. Good luck.
