Your a woman so you'll magically find something to talk about that fill up 24hours of each day.
its mainly work, family & friends, dreams (usually my desire to move house) that we talk about, but as with lil's OH, mine doesnt listen either..
We talk a bit about work, sometimes about our friends, our music (we're both in a couple of bands apiece and, in once case, we're in the same band), or what we're watching on TV. Sometimes we talk about our kids and our grandson.

We have always had similar interests and I think that's the key thing.
the wildlife found in the shallow waters if the amazon basin
Sometimes I ask him if hes listening and he says..er yeah, so I ask him what I just spoke about and he hasnt a clue.....men eh!!!!
mine reckons he cant multi-task, which i know is true, but listening isnt a task surely!
I'm always getting told off by my partner for not listening to him because i'm on here!
Other couples usually : )
^ Cos you're too busy listening to me, P x
I am. I am, 'tis true
I dont have a job either but I talk utter nonsense with my bloke. We arent always in eachothers pockets though, he has his mates round I go out so we never run out of things to say. Well I dont anyway. :-)

We just pass comments on things, Tv, people, food whatever, sometimes arrange to meet some friends to go for a drink or maybe go out for a meal. We enjoy each others company but it's better if one or both have other outside interests, my OH plays bowls so he has something to talk about, I don't play or have outdoor interests but I keep up with the news and read and do crosswords, he loves it when I can't get the last one and he answers it.
Pretty much anything.

His eyes gloss over when I mention any thing too girly though... But he trys to look interested bless 'im...
We have been together for nearly nine years and I haven't worked for a few months now due to medical problems, so I have little to talk about. But we still have a laugh and chat about what he has done that day etc... I think after being together so long we don't feel the need to fill the silence, but it's still nice to be able to chat and have things in common.

We are both fairly solitary people also, so the quiet suits us both at times =)
We have been married Yonks but do manage to find things to talk about, Maybe a news itam, the g/children,music,our ailments, relatives - - - but its quiet right now as hubby hides in spare room to watch football 2 - 3 times a day.

Various things really - we have very different jobs but don't discuss that too much. Family, what the cats have been up to, hollidays, garden, current affairs. Neither of us like soccer!
Avoid sitting in a pub and saying nothing to each other by going to the pub with your mates, works everytime
