Is there anything you can take or use that would help with the start of skin pigment loss?

Unfortunately moon, it seems not. My daughter started developing patches of vitiligo in her teens. She has tried all manner of pills, potions, creams and tablets - nothing has really worked. Fortunately they seem now to have stopped developing further, but there is nothing she can do about the patches she already has - on her ankle and groin mostly. She can cover them with camouflage creams, but they are not particularly disfiguring and she has accepted them now.
We researched things on the internet, got pills etc from chinese herbalists and at one stage she used to expose them to a sun lamp (certain rays are beneficial - I forget which offhand - which is strange, because ordinary sunshine can exacerbate the patches as a rule).
Hope this helps - but if you find out anything works for you - please let me know !!!
i have the opposite problem - i am starting to get clear patches of darker pigmentation on my face which are irritating for me. anyone know that causes of and fixes for that? x
