confused

What is going on with this site? Lately everytime I click on to AB and select a topic to question or give an answere all I get is the Google site which I have to cancel out before I can continue. This happens repeatedly and is very frustrating as I have to start all over again.I think the answerbank is brilliant and would hate to see it go down....So what has the Google bit got to do with it ?

SOG - I am not sure quite frankly.

Has anything like this been happening for anyone else?

Is it possible you've installed a good toolbar recently SOG?

"Everytime I click on to AB and select a topic to question or give an answere all I get is the Google site" - Where do you click on AB from? Do you have it saved in your favourites? Or as a short-cut on your desktop maybe? Was AB set as your homepage?

Let me know a few of these answers and we'll work out what is going on.

Seems fine to me too. Check your machine for malware/viruses.

Spare Ed. to my knowedge I haven't installed an extra toolbar.I click on AB from my favourites and my homepage is Orange.while trying to post this to you Google came up again and I had to cancel it twice to get to where I am now. I hope this helps...Also on the advice from squarebear I will check for malware/viruses.S.O.G

Do you find orange a helpful homepage? If you just like the colour I can suggest another "orange" website you might want to set as your homepage.

My default browser is Firefox. However, I do have on my 'desktop' an AB icon which I can click and immediately get through to my AB Profile page without any problem.

If you are wondering how come I have such an Icon.....I just clicked it from the start of my Profile address and dragged it into a blank space on my computer screen.( I did need to reduce the actual page to have a blank area on the comp's screen.)

Hi All I have finally got through to you after cancelling the google site four times! it seems as if it is trying to overide the AB site. I have tried all of your suggestions and my machine is supposedly clear of any malware/viruses and such so I am not sure what to do next. I know I can still log on to you after repeatedly cancelling google but it's not the standard procedure; as i said in an earlier post I think AB is excellent and helps very many people and I would not like it to close because of some rich G%%%%%rs.S.O.G
