Cheap watch - green wrist.

I purchased a watch via eBay a couple of years ago. It is a 'gold' watch and is supposed to be a "Krug Baumen, Charleston watch" but it is probably a fake.

I have started wearing it regularly and am now finding that my wrist is turning green. I know that clear nail varnish on the back of the watch is supposed to help avoid this problem. Does this actually work? Is there anything else that I should also try?

sticky back plastic

I actually thought of that - but I could make an awful mess. Give me a roll of Sellotape and I end up with it stuck everywhere and cat hairs stuck to the sellotape. I had a role of clear sticky back plastic stashed away - somewhere safe.

Clean it up properly.
Make sure it is degreased
Spray a few light coats of clear acrylic lacquer from a auto paint supplier. Keep away from front face. Mask off if necessary.
It will work.

Thanks to both of you - I put the sticky back plastic on and will see how it goes.

see how it goes it might be that it makes your skin sweat a bit and itchy if so try other idea x
