What do I wear?

I've been invited for an informal interview about volunteering at a zoo next week. I'm not sure what I should wear since a) I've never had an 'informal' interview before, b) I've never had an interview about volunteering before, and c) It's a zoo. I won't exactly EVER be dressed up if I get it.

Any ideas?

Softened business wear... smart pants or skirt, with toning jacket and a plain t shirt or simple blouse, flattish shoes and keep the other accessories discrete. if you are a member of any wild life or conservation organisations the lapel pin might be a good ploy, as it gives the impression it is possibly a long term interest

whatever you decide to wear just make sure it's in good condition and you feel comfortable in it. my choice would be good quality and well fitting pants (not high street jeans with flashy studs etc) a nice plain shirt (well ironed) and a non fussy jacket or very smart sleeveless jerkin - well polished flat shoes. Keep any jewellery discreet - mabye studs in the ears and a plain necklce if you wear one. definitely no jangly earring, bracelets or big flashy rings. don't choose garish colours. good luck with the interview

Smart shirt and trousers or skirt but no need for a matching jacket (unless it's cold or you want to), should be both sufficiently smart and sufficently casual.

oh I forgot apply psychology...it helps if people can visualise you in the role what colour do the workers wear at this zoo... wear that....if you have it its like nurses applying for sisters jobs are often advised to wear navy suits rather than black for their interview

bednobs they became pants, revert to trousers on occasions and sometimes get called 'longs' - made a suggestion to Cheer-x to help , not to get an English lesson.
