That thing on the homepage reminded me of this - there's an advert (for a beer i think) about turning a dead body into a diamond. As the home page says that the substance makes up one fifth of our body weight - is it true? And if so who on earth does it and how much does it cost? Quite like the idea of living on forever as a family heirloom...

...and here's the website http://www.lifegem.com/

The cost is one human life.
A great way for the company to make money. When a body is cremated most of the carbon compounds will turn into carbon dioxide or monoxide. Some of the carbon will be left (due to incomplete combustion) but this is just as likely to have come from the coffin itself or from the clothes of the deceased.
this has been done i think a lady was in the paper once saying that she turned her horse into a diamond it is a yellowy colour i think.  im not sure how much it costs tho
Dont think it is a true diamond and on the website the cost is seriously expensive, i do not want to be sitting on someones mantlepiece when i die thankyou very much !!
