Better now?

Do you HONESTLY think AB is better now than it was a year ago? Before the "new broom swept clean"????

I find some of the stupidity on some weekends very tedious. Ed should jump on banned people if they have been/are abusive, it spoils it for everyone. Otherwise - I like it!
AB, as a whole, hasn't really changed. I assume that your question really refers to CB.
In the (not-so-) 'good old days' CB was full of vitriol and petty squabbles. Some people might have found it entertaining but anyone who was posting within the 'serious' parts of AB, and who took a look at CB just to find out what it was all about, was very unlikely to post here.
Now that things have changed, more and more of the 'serious' posters (such as Barmaid, ChuckFickens, Dzug2, VHG, et al) are to be occasionally found in CB, proving that it has become a place where everyone can participate, without fear of being abused or (as frequently happened to me) having their benign posts totally ignored amongst all of the vitriol.

I think the days of Leg and Man-On-The-Top-Of-The-Clapham-Omnibus had their moments and could be fun but they could be overbearingly domineering of cb to the point it invited "challengers" to their crown who would take no prisoners which would drive a lot of good people away.
I also really miss Noknow ... not everyone's cup of tea but genuinely funny and entertaining. I think he did spend a little too much time on here in the end (by his own admission) and became too obsessed with a few things which led to the ed stepping in. Real shame that the ed cannot see to looking at his exclusion again ... jeez ... he didn't kill anyone For Funks Sake.
