Anything using more electrical equipment than the kettle, fridge or freezer he doesn't trust him to use on his own - my friend is 16!
But shock horror, his mum let me cook pasta with mediterranean vegetables and a sauce in their kitchen! I left my friend in charge of the pasta, who didn't even know how long to cook it for (I guessed 10 mins as there was no packet) and he even did that wrong almost, luckily I was only inches away. Plus I let him chop the vegetables up! and it was edible.

During my first year of teaching at a Christian grade school one of my 6th grade (10-11years old) students asked me if I was a virgin....when I reported this, his parents were called in and rather than admit he was wrong, they were more worried that I refused to answer. They felt there should only be one answer for a single female teacher. Can you imagine?
