Multiple Active Usernames

I saw a post which claimed there were people with multiple active usernames. I thought this was against site rules and was controlled.

It is to use them maliciously. If you're not hiding who you are and not causing trouble then there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Also...some users wouldn't want to ask a personal question in their normal name.

I have another user name that I use when I need answers to more personal queries, such as 'where can I buy size 10 Stilettos', 'how can I prevent premature ejaculation' and 'how long will it be before my breast implant scars fade?'. Obviously I wouldn't want everyone to know it was 'me' asking these type of questions would I...

I have a user name for Personal questions but I have now forgotten what is was or the password as I haven't had any personal questions for a long time. I think I had a new email addie just for it and I've forgotten that too!!

I was under the impression it was against Site Rules.
I get where you are coming from ummm although I only have the one name but steg has just posted that he has several active names which surely must breach Site Rules-I knew of one he had and it was used to wind Leg up.
Not picking on steg in particular but he mentioned it just a wee while ago and I know he had at least one so I dont know if he was jesting about the several or not.

I have only ever had this username on AB, in fact it is a username I have had since I started using MSN groups many years ago. I don't need another name to ask personal questions as this is the last place I would EVER post anything like that!

which MSN groups were you in daffy? I used MSN groups a lot a few years ago, like you I always use the same username

McMouse...most of the people with multiple user names either do it for harmless fun, because of the old banning system (in which case we don't really need them anymore) or to cause trouble.

The third option is less likely...and they get swiftly banned.

Dris, i've seen the pathetic answers and ridiculing that can occur when people post personal questions.!!! As you will have seen, it can get quite nasty and upsetting.

I have posted a few personal snippets on here in the past, but not anything major. :)

the ed knows about my accounts, if he wants/wanted to he can deactivate 1, 2, or all 3 if he so wished. i have never used an account solely to wind up anybody
