Hi all!

Well, I went back to the gynaecologist, who won't refer me for the hysterectomy til i've had a definite diagnosis from the haemotologist.

The haemo. now says that my 2nd blood test for v.W. came back normal and I don't have v.W. (as she had sent a letter to the gynae, but not to me!). But the haemo still want another blood test to check (this will be the third now!). I'm not seeing the haemo til late August.

I feel like the haemo. is just messing me around - surely they should just say we messed up and you don't have it?! (I just want to get the hysterectomy op over with, as the periods are ruining my life).

Why won't the haemotologist admit they have made a mistake? Your opinions will be appreciated as ever x

Halifax, one can only comment on the results that come to hand. Some tests are equivocal...might be or might not be indicative of a diseased process and if this is the case, then one has to repeat the tests. No mistake is made to admit to, the opinion is based on the findings at that particular time.

Lazygun is an ABer and I gather from his posts that he is a Chemical Pathologist......perhaps he can give you a more comprehensive and reassuring explanation.
