I would have thought so...

They do whole face transplants now...
ummmm...LOL
Would the answer be different if the baby was male?
They can remove skin tags from anyone, very easily - they do it in my GP surgery, I can't see why it couldn't be done for a baby. My dad had them and used to tie a bit of cotton round the neck, once the blood supply to the tag is cut off they drop off. Takes a few days though, minor surgery would be better.
Yes Do it yourself, my hubby did. He tied a length of strong thread around it at the base TIGHT, This restricted the blood flow to it, after about 10 days it went black & shrivelled up and dropped off,
(we found it in the bed) he's got a small white patch where it was but its oh so much better.
Mind you there are skin tags and skin tags, if yours is big or bigger a visit to your GP would be best, but yes they can do it for you, you don't feel anything because they freeze it. Well worth it if you're worried.
Good Luck Jem
This is a baby....I'd leave ot for the GP...
liquid nitrogen or nail clippers
I think ummm's right, if it were an adult I'd agree with self-help but this is a baby who's only just arrived (I think, tambo?), the skin will be very sensitive. It needs to come off, baby will catch it with its nails then it will bleed.

if they can do foreskins they can do skin tags
jno, the one's not on show as much as the other :-)
true, but much more scope for going badly wrong.
Sorry, didn't see the bit about it being a baby. But yes they can be removed and the doc himself will probably sugest it when baby is about 6 months.
Congratulations on the new arrival.

I wondered how deep the roots of a tag might be and hope removal wont result in scarring, especially as the babe is female.

thanx for replies & congrats, will pass to mother.
