Yep, I got the vinegar, piles and the worms ones too.
Also, (I know now that's it's nasty!) if you chew your chair then it will grow into a big ball in your stomach, which I could never quite understand because I didn't actually eat my hair.
Dropping a key down your back to stop a nosebleed.
FP, please elabourate on the bath time one. Why shouldn't you have bathed if you were menstruating?
For Natalie: This is true.
Years ago the daughter of a friend, aged about 15, was rushed into hospital with severe stomach pains and was very, very ill. The xrays showed a large mass, which was feared to be cancer. They did an exploratory op and the mass was, in fact, a very large mass of chewed hair which had stuck to her insides and gathered other unpleasant things. It had apparently been then for years and was a result of her chewing her hair when she was a young kid. I promise I am not kidding. It was a very frightening experience for the whole family.
Woofgang's explanation about bathing when menstruating is correct. I was also advised it was unwise to wash my hair at this time!!!
No, but, when I was likkle, if I did something mildly wrong, my dad would often say (tongue firmly in cheek), "That's a smaking offence, that is."
However, it was only when I was TWENTY-ONE that I realised he was saying this. I always thought he was saying, "That's a smack in a fence, that is."
I often had the mental image of him going out to the back garden and beating the fence with a stick. It never occurred to me to ask myself why this should be a punishment to me.
