Hello there. Can you make custard using milk powder if you have no milk?

nether do I have castor sugar but I have normal and brown sugar.

Thanks a lot tonyted. Could I just ask you what brand you buy ad why you only use milk powder? Personally I enjoy my tea and coffee very hot so buy the powder as milk cools it also its handy for an emergency like this. Yes I think Ill use the rolling pin method

you don't need to crush the brown sugan down at all, it'll dissolve in the hot milk.

Thank you pastafreak and tonyted this site is very different from all the other answer sites such as Yahoo answers, Answerbag etc where sometimes you have to wait a good little while for an answer. Its very userfriendly and im guessing after having a look around that chatterbank is the live forum?
