Late period
8 Answers
My period is late by 4 days, although i have a shortish cycle im usually early than late. We are trying for a baby so trying not to get my hopes up yet but this morning had a very small amount of blood when I went to the loo, really small small amount so not the same as period at all, and without being too graphic, much much darker in colour. So now im thinking that the fact there was some blood does this mean I cant be pregnant, or is this common in early few weeks of pregnancy?

So very happy but have a little concearn as I have a small amount of dark blood when I have been to the loo - not like a normal period so wondering if this is normal.
I am trying to get an appointment with the Dr... they are asking if it is an emergency but not knowing if this is serious or not, i dont think i can say its an emergency, so just waiting for Dr to call me and have a chat to decide how quickly i should see someone. Very excited but nervous until I know everything is ok! If anyone experienced the same at the start of their pregnancy be interested to hear from you. thanks

Mine lasted two days, it was only noticeable when I wiped. I think it happened at about 5weeks but that does seem late doesn't it?!
Just looked at babycentre.co.uk and this is what they say "Implantation bleeding or cramping. About eight days after ovulation, you may experience implantation spotting, a slight staining of a pink or brown colour, as well as some cramping. This is caused by the egg burrowing into the endometrial lining. You might also see some spotting around the time you expect your period. "
