I have noticed a lot more hair than normal falling out. I read somewhere that this could be linked with not taking anough iron. Is there amy truth in this, and if so, what should I eat?
I noticed this happening to me a few years ago and mentioned it to the hairdresser, she said when it gets near spring people actually 'moult'. At the end of the summer your hair gets much thicker for the winter. I hope she wasn't taking the pee out of me as I have believed her up until writing this down and realising I am making myself sound like a pet.
mine seems to be coming out a lot at the moment too!! to answer your question, shell fish, pumpkin seeds, asparagus and spinich (I eat the baby salad spinich) are all good sources of iron. But i hope what Natalie's been told is right and that it'll stop soon xx
take some kelp tablets from the health shop ..and drink nettle tea and within 8 weeks i can guarantee you will have thick hair..my hair is that thick i have to keep getting it thinned out..and fortunately i dont moult in the spring ..other wise i would panic..
I seem to "shed" every few years and spent weeks in the autumn of 2004 researching reasons. My hairdresser (in Spain where I live) told me it happened in the aubergine season! It has stopped, my hair is thinner but I have new growth so hopefully it'll thicken up against soon. I was told if it goes on for more than 6 weeks you should seek medical advice
