Post meno and ovarian cysts
7 Answers
I had an ultrasound of pelvic area, one ovary was driedup, the other had a couple of cysts. The technician said they look differently about cysts for post meno. women as opposed to younger women. Does this mean they most likely could be cancerous if you are older, or did she mean the way they treat them ? I have an appointment with OBgyn but the appointment is yet a couple of weeks off. I was wondering on how much I should be worrying.

So, that "could" possibly be the reason... .
Also, if what the technician saw looked actually worrying, I think you would have gotten an OBgyn appointment right away for further clearing.
Just to ease your mind a bit - if that helps?! Best Wishes, Ch.

Oh thank you everyone. One of the reasons why I did not get an appoinment right away is that I live in USA and not all doctors will take medicare. I have to see a nursepractioner because of that.....that I am 65 y.o. I call several obgyn who said they do not take medicicare. The one that would, I had to fit in with their schedule.
