Aww, Mopsy ... you poor thing ...

Take it easy, drink fruit juice.

What have you been doing?
Well.. I'm in pretty much the same boat myself, Bobbi.

Let's generate some sympathy from all the sensible folk who don't drink like we do....
I had a load of friends for lunch yesterday, and the last ones went home at 2.00 this morning. So I'm pooped, but no hangover.

What is it with people and their sanctimonious "it's you own fault" attitudes?

When a child falls off a bike and breaks his arm, do you think they all go ... "Well, you won't get any sympathy from me ... it's your own fault for riding a bike" ?

Mopsy, and Hummingbird ... you both have my sympathy.

I don't know how I've escaped a hangover today, but I have. Maybe I've slept it off. I woke up not long ago in the "hanging over the edge of the bed" position.

Thank you, Seagull... you too have my sympathy - at least for being pooped.

I must say, I could sleep for a week right now. I've just come down with sudden fatigue.
<<When a child falls off a bike and breaks his arm, do you think they all go ... "Well, you won't get any sympathy from me ... it's your own fault for riding a bike" ?<<<

Child doesn´t know that it is going to fall of the bike.

<<What is it with people and their sanctimonious "it's you own fault" attitudes? <<

Past experience has warned them of the after effects of alcohol abuse.

See the difference?

From sqad..........no sympathy at all.

Question Author
thanks sqad...love you in'all ..lol
No chance of that, Seagull... he's on his way back to Portsmouth now. :-(
Well, in that case sqad ...

"Past experience has warned them of the after effects of alcohol abuse."

A person is exhausted after playing sport ...

Response ... ?

"That was a hard game. Go and have a sit down." or

"Well, it's you own stupid fault. You know full well that sport is tiring."
I think there is a subconscious streak of temperance in a lot of people.

One can imagine them in their plain black and white clothes, waving "the good book" in the air, and thundering loudly about

... "the evils of the demon drink"

On the subject of which, what did Christ and the Disciples have at the Last Supper?

Was it water? fruit juice? a cup of tea?

No ... it was WINE !!!
JJ.....you choose.........I may be wrong, but the after effects of sport are the direct results of cardiovascular enhancement.........."does you good" physically.

Alcohol abuse is damaging to the human organs.
Question Author
JJ I luv ya....lol
Urrrggghhh. JJ, you just had to mention the word "wine". Now I feel ill. First day at the gym today - god help me.
JJ.....LOL....an Oscar performance.

P.S I am an atheist.
Question Author
what I did yesterday sqad was hardly me abusing the alcohol, actually I was enjoying it at the time :-0)
LOL ... thanks sqad.

=0)

Hey, barmaid ... are you going to become a gym rat ?
Well done Squad. Totally agree with you. Im all for having a drink, but getting paraletic is just stupid especially on a regular basis. I saw a programme recently which showed the liver of those that drink heavily and those that drink moderately or not at all and the difference was amazing. Anyone who saw it would be put off drink for life
theotherhalf....that is the problem, these people, many of which are alcoholics, wouldn´t be put of by the sight of a drinker´s liver.
