Does anyone know a chat room or forum that is suitable for a very old lady? I would recommend AB to my ma-in-law but know she would not differentiate between the windups and the serious threads.
I'm sure she would be able to McMouse. Most are a friendly lot and would make your Ma in Law welcome.....You just dont want her to see what you get up to, do you?
Is a serious question. She is as bright as a button mentally and although a novice with her laptop can generally navigate her way around. She currently does alot of Googling to get information but I know she would like to join in on discussions about current affairs etc.
I am retired and found my way round here 4 years ago knowing nothing about computers. Does she play domines or other games by going to yahoo games she can find which ones she likes . I play dominoes and I have found a few friends I keep in contact with on Yahoo messenger especially with a family in Australia. If anyone starts being rude while playing dominoes I just finish the game as I play rated games then switch them off.Just an idea for her.
McMouse, Been looking through the AgeUK (used to be Age Concern) chat section and they have loads of subjects and there appear to be lots of people with good sense of humour of there. Certainly not all about knitting and illnesses. Perhaps I should join!!
