Hi, not sure if you remember about the small i am getting up my nose, but ive been to the hospital today as my xray showed that one side of my sinus is totally blocked, they still dont know why or what is blocking it, i have now got to go for a CT scan and blood test, on my blood form the doc has written on the clinical biochemistry box eGFR/Na/K/Cr does anyone know what this means please, he cant say if the blockage is anything serious until he gets the CT results. Any help appreciated on this please. Thank you.
Looks very much like a kidney function test and is commonly used in most blood tests. I do hope they sort you soon, has been around a while at least you are getting somewhere.
Is that what you think it may be then, i know, its really getting me down now, plus im going to Cyprus in a couple of weeks and was hoping to go smell free but that wont be the case now, i just hope its nothing sinister. xx
Please disregard my outfit my answer is based on my own experiences and often what they test our blood for is to give a general picture of us, rather than as might suggest suspecting anything particular.
I have renal function checks and others due to a number of issues and also certain Meds require it. A blocked sinus can be anything and try not to worry rather wait to see what the CT shows, take care.
