Joko, go and see your practice nurse, or go to your local GUM clinic, most of those nurses are all trained in cervical screening and in recognising symptoms "down there". The sexual health services cover all sorts of things, you may find there is a walk-in centre. Or, as others suggest, see a different doctor - but if it embarrasses you, write it all down, describe exactly where it is (please don't get me wrong, but your cervix is right inside you, you would need to be examined using a speculum) - if it's worrying you then they will take you seriously. Good luck with it.
Joko, I don't want to scare you. My work colleague's daughter had something similar and didn’t take it seriously. One day she was in excruciating pain, unable to walk. Mother rushed her to emergency. Surgery was performed and now she will not be able to have children. The young lady is only 23. This happened three months ago. If she had acted as soon as she had discomforts she could have been treated and not have surgery. Go and see a doctor soon.
How could you feel a lump the size of a half a baked bean on your cervix?
It clearly isn´t on your cervix.
If a Dr can´t feel it.........he/she can´t feel it.
You can feel it and I presume you showed the Dr where it was? and he/she still couldn´t feel it.
I would monitor the situation for the next 3 months.

the doc actually seemed to be having a lot of trouble seeing my cervix...dont know if its perhaps a bit of an awkward shape...he had to use 2 different sized speculums...and his fingers...but i can only feel it if i bear down, but it is my cervix..i have checked it many times an it has never had this lump on it...its just like that pic albags put up...except the lump is more to the side...i can feel the little hole in the middle... i aksed him if he wanted me to move about a bit and bear down etc an he said no..(!)
he was a bit weird actually appeared not to want to do the examination and only did after i asked him to..he even went off to see if there was a nurse about who would do it instead, huffed a lot and was holding the speculum from arms length and just kind of bending a bit...thats why im not satisfied...
he also ignored what i said about my eye (see previous post) didnt want to bother doing anything about it... no tests etc...just shrugged at me...just told me to leave it...
he seemed very uninterested...
but my eye is annoyin me an feels like its pressing out...but not interested...

yes thats about the size of it...i guess i should just go back an see someone else...just to be on the safe side
i just think he should have at least sent me for tests or took a swab and even just looked at my eye!
just because its not out on a stalk does not mean theres no pressure...i can feel it all day...

Joko, it is possible to feel your own cervix, I know you can - when I had one, I could. However - it sounds as if the doctor you saw may not be trained in cervical screening (not everybody is), and round here the training is rigorous (I know, I commission it for our local area). I understand that when taking cervical screening samples it can sometimes be quite difficult to "visualise the cervix" - i.e. to see the area you are supposed to be sampling - it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the woman but we are all built differently inside, and some cervixes are hard to see. It sounds as if this isn't your GP's area of speciality - do ask to see some one else, or as I suggested before, take yourself to your local sexual health clinic - the nurses there should know what they are doing in looking at what's troubling you.
