do women really decide in the first few minutes if they will sleep with a man.....

Am reading Moll Flanders...and am very intrigued at her observations of how men and women percieve each other and how much some of her observations are still in common currency today....specifically about how women will decide within minutes of meeting a man whether she will ever sleep with him....is this true to any extent????

Without having specific implications for actual events or actions, it's generally true that the opposite gender is divided into "Yes, I would/could" and "No, never, not by any stretch", and that the distinction is made instantaneously on meeting. Works for men too, I believe, but what do the men say?
Yes, i think you know. That's not to say you will - more, you would. Having said that - it is a womans perogative to change her mind :o) and if 1/2 an hour later he shows himself up to be a prat then you can just as quickly go off someone!!
Is the same true of a man - or does she just have to have a pulse?
If you sleep with someone who isn't suitable though, it can create a 'false' bond that wouldn't have been there if you had not slept with them. This is why you shouldn't jump into bed too quickly! I find this applies to women more than men unfortunately. (It happened to me in the past, just one time, so I decided that 'it's' certainly worth waiting for!)
