i know mascaras can sit on the display cases in shops for months maybe even years, but is there a shelf life?

my local chemist is sellins off all their makeup for a pound so i have stocked up a bit... but will these items last a good while?

unopened an unused of course... i will stash the unused ones until i need them..i know used ones are best before about 6-8 months but new should last a lot longer surely

any ideas?

thanks

As it's clean when it is sealed in, provided it hasn't been opened it should be OK. It's not like you're going to eat it, and the ingredients don't seem likely to separate with time.
Of course, once you've opened them, the clock's ticking.
Sealed makeup & skincare has a shelf life of 3years. You're best replacing your mascara every 3-6months due to bacteria growth. X
