staff not well

my staff has not been himself for the past 3 to 4 weeks he seems to faint when he gets excited this only last for a min or so, his eating and drinking is fine, vet has given him phenobarbitone for fits but im not sure its that as he does,nt shake or anything like that would like to know if anyone else has come across this before
