providing a sample ...

afternoon all,
i had some blood tests done last week and the results have come back saying im aneimic.
i saw the doctor yesterday who said theres nothing to worry about, but i need to do 3 pooh samples, so they can rule out there being any blood present.
im then to start a course of iron tablets, have another blood test in 3 weeks time and will go from there..
now, my question is a bit embarrassing lol.. but how much do you need to place in these sample bottle thingies please?

On the subject, do you remember a post on here from a couple of years ago about someone who found a whole, undigested button mushroom in his poo and kept it in a jar to show people?

Just eat a can of sweetcorn and then collect the poo the next day!!

True Chuck. It wouldn't make any difference at all. I often wonder why sweetcorn supposedly good for you as it doesn't even touch the sides, let alone get digested.

I imagine them all wearing gas masks in the poo testing lab, I wonder if there are any warning signs on the door (combustible gasses) maybe.

I remember going to my first antenatal checkup and a huge African woman walked in with a Tizer bottle full of wee. I was there with a tiny pill bottle. lol

this is true, gp asked a women patient to return to the surgery next morning with a fresh early morning sample of urine for testing. next am woman returns with an irn bru bottle half fool with urine , says to the gp " i couldnt manage to go this morning, but my husband was able to.
