solid swollen abdomen

For a while now my abdomen has been solid and swollen. This includes my upper stomach area. Have a feeling its cos of drinking too much but could it possibly be something else? Thanks

My friend has a similar problem... and we have diagnosed her with Fibroids... Her Doctor hasnt yet.. but just waiting for an internal ultrasound as all blood tests have come back clear!

Fibroids are apparently quite common.. though her GP is adamant its NOT fibroids.. despite other people saying it is.

Apparently she ruled it out purely on her age and said she was too young to get them. Mind you - a friend of hers was diagnosed with them too recently.. same age!

Some GPs are a waste of time... mine luckily is a good one!

She's been seeing doctors for THREE years and all of them say its IBS but have never tested for fibroids

Note the word "solid"

Fibroids don´t come up to the "upper stomach"...usually.

Lofty, good link to a distended stomach, but we have a "solid distended stomach.

pregnancy - immaculate conception !! No I dont think there are any other alcohol related symptoms

My GP unexpectedly diagnosed fibroids for me with an internal exam, big as a grapefruit. She can always ask to see another GP.
