Pulled muscle.

Suffered a really bad coughing fit recently. Ever since then the left hand side of
my neck has been quite tender to the touch. Visited my GP. He just said I'd
probably pulled a muscle and told me to take regular dose of paracetamol.
Does anyone know how long a pulled muscle in the neck takes to heal?

A week perhaps..try Ibuprofen gel as well as the paracetamol.

Thankyou for your answer. I seem to be the exception to the rule because I've
had this tenderness in neck and headache down the left- hand side for over four
weeks now and it is not getting any better. Hope someone can advise me further.
