assault
5 Answers
a friend of mine was assaulted by three youths in a road rage incident, whilst in his car alone, six months ago now. he is 58 years old. there was a witness who was willing to make a statement and my friend got the number of the car the three youths were in and they were arrested. my friend had injuries to his face that required 3 plates to a broken cheekbone which would make the assault one of grievous bodily harm, and he was concussed. Nothing has been done about it. the witness was never interviewed by the police and the youths were set free because, as a statement was not taken from the witness, it was decided by crown prosecution that there was no case. What would you do to get justice?

I am only doing my law conversion course (training to be a solicitor), so please do not rely on my advice here, but there would seem to be a case for action. The best thing to do would be to get professional advice from a solicitor/Citizens Advice Bureau.
