i went to see a physio/masseur about the top of my back as i get alot of pain there, a lot of weight at the front shall we say. i mentioned that i had a pain in the base of my spine to the right. i think it was from lifting a very heavy box about a month ago. anyway, he got me to put my hand on his shoulder and he kept asking me to breath in and out and pressed down hard on my shoulder and twisted me round to the left, to see how far i could go, it was almost or felt like 180degrees from what he asked me to look at. im now in agony since last monday, it feels like hes made it worse. surely if the pain is on the right of the spine and maybe a disc is slightly sticking out then he should have turned me the other way to make the disc go back in. any advice more than welcome. im having to take ibuprofen every 4-6 hours and im finding it hard to sit down for long periods of time. its making me feel so miserable.
i saw the physio while i was on holiday in spain.my hubby had a back problem and had to go for physio every two days which really helped him to walk again. i just happened to mention my issue so went to see the same physio separately.
its fine going to a physio on hols and I am glad it helped your husband but emergencies apart, I would always advise people to see a clinician where they can go back if necessary, get further advice, get it dealt with if things don't go right.....
