Hearing bangs on the field
71 Answers
The other day when I was biking to school over the field at the back of my house, I saw a 4x4 pull up in the distance, someone get out, and a bang. This would have been between 8.15 and 8.25, and the car was parked next to a small area of trees. The person got back in and drove off.
Now this morning, sitting in the dining room at the back of the house I keep hearing similar bangs.
Can anyone offer a sensible explanation? Could it be a gun?
I'm only posting in CB because I don't know what topic to put it in and lots of people look at CB threads so only sensible things please.

Today i've now heard between 5 and 10 with a couple of minute between each. It's quite a low pitched noise for a gun (not an ak47). I onbviously can't see it not, but even last week, I was too far away to see.
But there'd be nothing anyone would want to shoot at. It's rare to see deer, there're rabbits but I've only ever seen them in a completely different field. There's no pheasants nearby.

It's not like a forest lofty. It's a small area of bushed with no more than 10 large trees i'd say. You can see through it, it's not that dense. And i didn't see the person go inside them. Infact as I remember it, the car was parked parallel to the trees and the person stood infront on the car, so they were barely level with the trees.
