Right, Groupon have an offer today for a Brazilian Blow Dry for £59 instead of £250. I'd like to get one but I can't really afford it at the moment - has anyone had one, is it worth the money? I only have 2 hours to decide before the offer ends!

My mate had one and it looks nice and she seems happy with it, she couldn't wash her hair for three days though. Personally I like the fact that my hair is naturally fairly curly so I've got a choice between GHD's, curly or a hairband/hat! I think I would get bored of it but I guess it's easier to manage.

^^ That is all assuming you mean some sort of straight hair do that my firend had and that I didn't actually mishear what she called her new barnet!

That's the one CD. It's the fact that you don't have to use straighteners and your hair looks all shiny and healthy that appeals to me. Mine is such a mess just now what with the weather and blooming GHDs, it's all snapped and dried out looking.
Ah... well her hair looked very nice.

I don't know much about it but assuming some sort of chemical is involved, wouldn't that eventually ruin your hair even more?

Anyway, if you're dead set on it, from what she told me, that sounds like a decent price but your hair does have to be left greasy for a few days after it's done apparently.
go for it. especially if it keeps you away from the GHD"s.
My hairdresser described it as a back to front perm.

My hair is very fine and flyaway and tends to go fizzy. It is impossible to get it to sit the way I want it to.

It's keratin they put in it CD, which is the main component of hair, so it should be good for it. I'll just book my appointment for sometime when I can hole up at home for a few days and hide my greasy mop :) I still have an hour or so to decide so I'll mull it over some more x
Ah just do and post a pic, you'll either get loads of compliments or provide us all with a good laugh... it's a win-win situation ;oP

I cannot believe any blow dry is worth £59 let alone £250!!!!

I read recently that the solution used has formaldehyde in it. You'll smell like a autopsy room.

lucky i suppose then that probably not that many people have been in an autopsy room to know what it smells like!
Did you get it karen?
BBD is a cover name for hair straitning & uses similar product but with heated irons. If the irons are not used carefully or held too long on hair (without protective silicone spray) it will damage/burn the keratin and that leads to the hair snapping off.

Its imperitive to use a good conditioner when you use straitners. Leave conditioner on overnight (with shower cap).

Thanks Al - I'm letting my 'winter pelt' grow in. It takes ruddy hours for it to dry naturally ;) xx
