My hubby has been diagnosed with the above (I know I've spelt it wrong!!) and has been given cream and shampoo. It's on his scalp, face and chest.

It has been over a week and if anything it seems to be getting worse.

Does anyone know roughly how long this takes to clear up?

Well the bad news is that it is a life long condition and the docs dont really know the cause.....with kids it is known as cradle cap.Causes are thought to be stress, fatigue, extreme weather, oily shampoos and at worse, neurological conditions through to Parkinsons and HIV

The cream is probably a steroid and recovery is anything from a week to a month.....and you should look to some strict skin care as a preventitive.....

Thanks DT.
He was told that this is lifelong but he is hoping that the patches he has at the moment will clear up soon.
I have this condition which flares up occasionally usually just affecting my face, especially around my nose. I clean my face once per week with Boots Anti-Dandruff Ketoconazole 20 mg/g Shampoo and fnd this keeps it at bay really well.
As you know this is a condition that is managed rather than cured.
