Hi,

Does anyone know of any good concealers to cover up very dark shadows under the eye? Maybe one that has a thick, opaque consistency and drys so that it's smudge-free?
Thanks!

The best five are apparently as follows

1. YSL Touche Eclat Concealer …

2. Quick Cover by Chanel …

3. All about Eyes Concealer by Clinique …

4. Photogenic Skin-Illuminating Concealer SPF 15 by Lancome …

5. DiorSkin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer by Dior …
I bought some Avon eye cream that seemed to do the trick. I get dark circles sometimes, try drinking more water and getting a few early nights. My downfall is staying on here too long, then going to bed and reading until 1am.

Yeah, it was in dollars, but still scarily high ...

Lol@ askyourgran. It's true that my water intake isn't as high as it should be, but as i far as i can remember i've had these for quite some years now, and my Dad has the same thing. I actually bough MAC's Select cover-up concealer but it doesn't dry which meant that the whole lot came off when i tried patting it into my skin or blending it out around the eye :S
Collection 2000's lasting perfection concealer is very good.. especially for the price it is. I bought it cos its oil freeand it's great, doesn't budge! There are only 4 shades to choose from though. :)
I've tried loads of these and usually end up looking like I've been out in the sun but kept my sunglasses on - you know the look, big white circles round your eyes. I bought this stuff - it's dead cheap and it's got a yellowish tinged one for your eyes which looks a lot more natural, and it's quite thick so it doesn't rub off. At £1.50 it's worth a try!

Hi OuCy, Touche eclat is defo the best and it lasts for ages, you can get it for around £17 if you shop around.
Honestly, you're better off using a couple of cucumber slices.
...or a slice of potato, cut it in half and place a piece under each eye for 20 mins.
Cold teabags are good too.

Hehe, thanks NazNomad i like the sound of the potato one, will give that a try :) Haysi06, does Touche Eclat dry to a solid finish? And does it give an opaque coverage?
Trick and Treatment available from Boots!
forget all the expnsive stuff or 'preventative' creams. you are genetically predisposed to have them and thay will stay put, whatever you stick on them. i have the same problem and have spent lords knows how much on trying to solve the problem. what you need is a good cover up and this works the best...and its well cheap! x

Be careful with Touche Eclat as I took a bad allergic reaction to it, and upon talking to people in the beauty industry, I found that this is very common! Try a patch test with it from a beauty counter before spending your money!

A good cheapy alternative is the Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch, it is good and thick (rather than just light reflecting) and stays put!

Try this, I find it very good

I am never without it!! My essential piece of makeup. (not just for eyes either)
