I've had a cold for a week and now have a hacking cough.
I think I have tapped into a brand new seam of phlegm.
Is green phlegm a sign of infection or is it normal?

Well....yes it does mean that you gave an infection....BUT....if you feel well in yourself, then you do not need antibiotics BUT..if you have a temperature and feel "of it", then you might need a dose..........of antibiotics.
