Should I get this checked out?
29 Answers
I've noticed I've got a newish light birthmark on the top of my back. I've had it for a couple of months and it itches quite a bit.
There's no dark spots or anything in it - it's quite faint to be honest.
I've mentioned it to a few people who have said that they wouldn't be worried. Shall I go to the doc? Could it be something to worry about or not?
Thanks

I'm sure they'll say it's fine as I know a woman who had a darkish mole with red blood vessels showing etc and doc said it was fine. She paid to see a specialist privately who removed the mole and confirmed it was a type of skin cancer (not the really nasty one).
I can't imagine a specialist removing part of a birthmark, I thought they could only cut out moles.
My next question then is . . . if the doc says it's ok, shall I pay to see someone privately to double check it??
Thanks
