On facebook, if you put a name under 'siblings' is it assumed that the person you name is either a brother or sister or half-brother or sister or even step-brother or sister?
"sibling sib·ling (sĭb'lĭng)
n.
One of two or more individuals having one or both parents in common; a brother or sister."
So strictly speaking yes.... though a lot of kids seem to list everyone they know as a sibling (either that or my nephew has 25 brothers and sisters that I don't know about!)
and just to add to the mayhem that can be facebook, sometimes young people declare they are " married to " their mates , sometimes more than one at a time ) x
ha ha, I always think people just change their relationship status for effect and now I know it's true!
Young people on facebook really confuse me. They spell their names wrong on purpose. I thought somehow I had a stranger on my friends list a few weeks ago and then realised it was my neice who goes by an almost entirely different name.
