She'd be all nicey nicey to me in public then make really nasty comments when no one was about. If I wasn't over the top nice to her she'd burst into tears and tell everyone I was being horrible to her. She reported me after I left her a note asking her to do something (I'm her senior so it's within my remit to do this, and I put it in a note so she couldn't twist my words). She immediately ran to my boss and said I was bullying her but she couldn't give any specifics. It was horrible, and I still have to watch my every move round her so she can't use anything I've said against me.
I have. It happened about 3/4 years ago and it was my then line manager. Luckily I had evidence in email form. I used to go into work feeling full of dread and scared. It got so bad that I ended being signed off sick. My grievance was dealt with by an independant person who didn't know us and worked in a differet department. Although the conclusion stated that it wasn't bullying it was suggested that he should not manage me any further. When my countersigning manager saw the evidence she was shocked to see what was occuring and had him moved out of the department.
Someone thought they would try bullying me at work - only the once mind. I can be very subtle and tactful but I am not called the queen of put downs for nothing. One or other approach works for me. I am an 'up front' sort of person and like to address any relationship problems as soon as I detect them (or even suspect them).
