It was the BF's office 'do' Friday night. I had never met any of his colleagues before. He has never before taken a woman to one of these shindigs. He took me.... :-(

The fact that I slipped on a sausage on the dancefloor & showed me knickers was bad enough. But after that little debacle, I went up to BF's boss & barked "Who are you?" (even though BF had pointed him out earlier in the evening & I had remarked on the fact that he looked like John Travolta...) I'd forgotten.

BF mutters "It's ****, my boss". With that, I grabbed his tie, pulled him towards me, said "Come on John Travolta, let's dance". BF quivered, boss's wife laughed, Boss said on the dancefloor "That's very flattering - John Travolta". I replied "Yeah - but not Saturday Night Fever John Travolta - more the one when he started putting on a lot of weight......"

Rearrange these words to make sentence: Ground, Hole, Swallow, Up, Me.

oh dear you called him fat john travolta, lol he's not goign to forget you in a hurry....
Now I am howling. There is a saying "you should get out more", but in your case, I think it should be "you should stay in more".

Is he still your BF? And does he still have a job?
Question Author
No.
I may not get an invite next year.......?!

(Actually, he was as bladdered as me - so hopefully he will have forgotten. I shall dye and cut my hair & put on a different accent, just in case.....)
rearrange these words 'chance no promotion of boyfriend for'
Well at least you had knickers on ...
He'd think you are bold and challenging and want to see more of you.

Luckily (or unluckily...?) he's contracted - not a bone fide member of staff as such. That could be good for him, or not - considering the contract is up for renewal next spring....

Then again, said Boss was laughing by the time he came off the dancefloor. I dread to think what else I said....
No wonder he wants to take you to Syria!
Oh dear Salla,

How embarrassing indeed!!! I hate embarrassing myself, I would have to lock myself away.
Question Author
Thanks funny - that's reassured me no end...... ;-)
Salla, it sounds like a Bridget Jones moment - hahahaha

However drunk do you have to be to show your new boss your bits?!!! I think if I were that drunk I wouldn't be capable of showing anybody anything!

2short - now that is something I have never done.... showed my winkie (I have been known to flash my boobs though.... but not to the boss)
Salla, look at it this way, things can only get better, for they surely can't get any worse.
Question Author
Things have been a lot worse sandy..... this is a very good time in my life !!

Embarrassment is my second name. I'm used to it. Things are mortifying for a few days afterwards, but I usually see the funny side after a while :-)
