Kin Swearing! is it a sign of an exhausted vocabulary?

As one who is often castigated for lord mayoring I feel I should mention this quote from the great Stephen Fry: ""Swearing is a really important part of one's life and it would be impossible to imagine going through life without swearing and without enoying swearing
there used to be mad, silly, prissy people who would say swearing is a sign of a poor vocabulary as such; utter nonsense! The people I know who swear the most tend to have the widest vocabularies!"

My problem with swearing as part of everyday language is that the words, by definition, sound harsh and ugly, and have no place in standard daily exchanges between individuals

i dont like to hear swearing but people do it, and myself sometimes, but what i really hate it obsesive swearing, a friend of mine literally uses the f word in place of every other word, why? cos it doesnt do anything for them

Couple of Christmases ago my 85 year old aunt spilled wine on her dress and without thinking uttered an "Oh fcuk". The entire family including her young grandsons exploded with laughter.

id be quite annoyed if someone attempted to 'defend' my ears from swearing...i am a grown woman, not a delicate little flower to be protected from bad words...i dont need that kind of arrogant sexist control

i swear myself at times an i am not remotely offended by a few words...
