And no-one say, 'well don't take a baby to Australia', or 'let it wear off'.
Yeah...wake him up during the day and just be prepared for some grumpy days.
I suppose they'll just have to do the opposite of what they did in Australia when they managed to change his body clock.
Agree with ummmm. The parents just need to tough it out for a few days. Was their trip vital?
How does a 5 month old baby know whether it is day or night?

His sleep pattern was probably the same in Australia.....perhaps?
Try letting hime sleep apside down and gradually alter the angle till he's re-oriented for this side of the world.

Count, it's complicated, but at first they thought that my brother's fiancee and baby would be spending christmas alone (without my brother or ny other family nearby) so they booked tickets to go to Australia, with her family.

Just in case, do NOT position your baby upside down to sleep, I was joking.
There, that's the legal stuff done for the nutters.
Her Sqad....her
The baby's a he.
I was answering Sqad, who was answering Mike.....that I believe that Molly is a 'her'

I'm a her, the baby is a he.
Try flying the baby across the International date line the other way.
This will reverse the effect.
Erm, they know if it's day or night in the same way every living thing does; it gets dark at night!
Perhaps try bright lights when he is supposed to wake and blackout curtains when you want him to sleep?
The current advice for avoiding jetlag is not to eat or sleep on the journey and to then immediately go by the meal times, etc in the new location. However, with a baby you can't really do this can you.
I think there's going to be a few days of shortened naps etc.
