What do you think is/are the greatest achievement/s of mankind?

Some quality answers, as ever, people. I didn't have any predetermined answer, I just thought it'd be nice to remind ourselves of the positive achievments of our species. Looking through the responses, I have to come down on the side of communications, from the spoken word to the written word, to the printed word, to the broadcast word and finally to our good friend the WWW. It's either that or cheese.

I wish someone would invent a correction fluid for computer monitors. It's a devil trying to erase my spelling mistakes.
